Consider doing drop and lean for the indeterminates. Ideally you would have another row so you can run them in a loop. You'd would probably want to consider a different tie off technique so it's easy to move them to the next spot over when they reach the top.

That's exactly how I do my tomatoes. Except I stake my one end of the line into the ground and use tomato clips (a special clip you can buy cheap that holds the line and the plant) and the grow amazing. It also allows you to lower and lean the plant over if it gets too tall too. My one suggestion would be to get a taller trellis, as my indeterminates grew to be over 10ft tall even in my short growing season.

Sorry, but I have to disagree re: a wooden trellis system. I tried it last year on about one-third of my tomato plants using both oak and maple 1x3 uprights, and they failed in moderate winds before the tomato plants even half-way peaked. They rotted at the point where lumber met the ground. I will never do that again. String trellising is the way to go. The remainder of my tomato plants on string trellises did just fine.

actually, peppers - fertilize the same way indeterminate tomatoes should be because these 2 plants are flowering, bulking up fruits, and ripening them all at the same time. yes 15-30-15 is good. but alternate them weekly with something like you mention - 10-10-20. the reason is higher P in NPK pushes flowering, and K pushes bulking up of fruits (this is actually vegetative). i take this opportunity to emphasize to have calcium be the primary vegetative (vs. reproductive) growth nutrient instead of nitrogen. result? notice your internodes - shorter when calcium is the primary vegetative growth nutrient vs. nitrogen. these plants are moving back and forth from emphasizing vegetative growth and then reproductive growth - they are never just doing vegetative exclusively or reproductive exclusively...blessings to all

According to Dr. Bruce Bugbee there's no such thing as synthetic fertilizer the only difference between compost and "chemical" fertilizers is about 4 to 5 years ------ compost breaks down to the exact same thing,in 4 to 5 years, as the (so called) chemical fertilizers and neither you, or your plants, nor any LAB, can tell the difference. NO plants use phosphorus they use P2O5 which is a phosphate of an ionic compound which is in scientific terms a "SALT" (if you drink a coke or pepsi read the ingredients you'll see phosphoric acid listed --- this is basically what your plants NEED and is basically P2O5) . Same goes for the metal potassium ---- plants use K2O which an ionic compound of the metal potassium which also has a scientific term of "SALT". Check the fertilizer bags. ALL life forms (humans, plants, animals, soil bacteria, soil microbes and so on) need trace "metals" to survive --- look at a vitamin bottle next time you're in a store then ask your pharmacists if you can actually consume any TRUE metals or if your body uses "salt compounds" instead. 100% true organic growing is just an unnecessary, expensive SHAM. The "salt" you use in the kitchen saltshaker is NaCl, which is a salt {and will kill plants} BUT ALL salts are NOT NaCl. Think of it as a Ford is a car but not all cars are Fords -- there are chevy, dodge, porche, ferrari and on and on --- point is they're all different. Another way to think of it is many mushrooms are extremely good for your health and many mushrooms will absolutely KILL you if you eat them --- think of plants and salt in this way and you'll understand. Also consider this --- you absolutely need water to survive ------- BUT if you drink too much at 1 time ------ it'll kill you ----- moderation is the KEY to all things.
